Abstract (en)
The device has a platform (10) and a railing (20) slidable with respect to each other. A locking unit includes a platform part integral with the platform and a railing part integral with the railing, where the parts are engaged with each other to prevent the relative sliding of the railing and the platform. A stem (170) transmits an actuating force of a handle (150) to the locking unit to disengage the locking unit, where a weight part engages the railing portion and the platform portion with each other in the absence of the actuating force.

Un dispositif de protection contre la chute comprenant : - une plateforme (10) et un garde-corps (20) aptes à coulisser l'un par rapport à l'autre, - un moyen de blocage (180, 190, 200) apte à s'engager, respectivement se dégager, afin d'empêcher, respectivement d'autoriser, le coulissement relatif du garde-corps et de la plateforme, - un moyen de commande (150) apte à produire une force d'actionnement, - un moyen de transmission (170) apte à transmettre la force d'actionnement du moyen de commande au moyen de blocage, afin de désengager ledit moyen de blocage, dans lequel le moyen de blocage comprend en outre un moyen de rappel (183) apte à engager le moyen de blocage, et le moyen de blocage est apte à s'engager, quelle que soit la position relative de la plateforme et du garde-corps, afin de régler la position relative de la plateforme et du garde-corps sensiblement en continu.
