[origin: EP2573271A2] The barrier arrangement (1) has a retaining device (7) for motorcyclists, which comprises a guard rail (5) secured in the mounted state and extended parallel to a road surface (4) and is fastened at the post (3). An underrun protection plate (8), below the guard rail is provided with brackets (9) secured to the post and is extended parallel to the guard rail. The brackets with a plug-in device (10) are attached to the post and are supported in the post with a downwardly extending portion slidably in each case. An independent claim is included for method for retrofitting barrier arrangement.
