[origin: EP2574144A2] The method involves providing a predetermined amount of energy to the cooking vessel (5) by induction heater (9) in accordance with a heating level selected by user or type of cooking vessel selected by user. A parameter value relating oscillation period (Tp) of an oscillating circuit (4) is determined based on temperature of bottom of the cooking vessel and the determined value is stored. The stored parameter value is controlled to reach a desired value. An independent claim is included for induction heating device.
