Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2574376A1] The dumbbell system has dumbbell weight (3,4) and handle (2) with shaft (19) and handle tube (27) which is arranged concentrically around the shaft. The handle has transmission and locking slide (33) that is coupled to shaft and handle tube, such that slide is brought into unlocked position in which slide is disengaged from locking projection, and into locked position in which slide engages with projection in such a way that journal is retained perpendicularly to longitudinal direction of shaft by projection through slide together with slot base, by rotating tube relative to shaft. The shaft is protruded from the handle tube in longitudinal direction of shaft by a journal (20) having an eccentric. The dumbbell weight has a dumbbell weight portion (5) in which an insertion slot (8) is formed, which extends from edge of the dumbbell weight portion to the center area of the dumbbell weight portion. The insertion slot is shaped in coordination with the journal in such a way that the journal can be brought into engagement with the insertion slot at the edge of the dumbbell weight and can be moved perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the shaft to slot base (10) and can be brought into an end position while the journal is arranged on the slot base and is rotationally fixed in a form-closed manner by the eccentric.
