Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2574587A1] The method involves directly mounting a three-dimensional (3D) imaging sensor at a container spreader (1), for determining the measurement values of environment of the container spreader. The three-dimensional data is produced from the measurement values. The anchorage position of twist locks (2) in truck loading area (21) or corner castings (11) of container (10) is computed from the three-dimensional data. The target position for the container spreader, is computed from the anchorage position. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) container spreader; (2) crane; (3) industrial truck; and (4) machine readable data carrier storing program for determining target position for container spreader.
