[origin: EP2574716A2] The ventilation device has a ventilation profile (6) which is formed such that a space between sliding wing (2) and fixed frame is formed in a ventilation position. The wing is inserted into a groove in the fixed frame in closed position. A locking pin (18) is provided to lock the sliding wing with the fixed frame in the ventilation and closed positions. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) fitting for sliding wing of sliding door or window; and (2) method for re-tooling sliding door or window with a sliding wing.
