Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2574794A2] The component has a channel-shaped casing (1) for accommodating silencer which is arranged behind the centrifugal fan (2) along air flow direction (4). A slot (3) filled with sound absorption material for noise reduction is provided in the casing, along air flow direction. The slot is formed in a circumferential free space (10) around which the gas is flowed. The number of regions of casing cross-section provided for slots, is corresponded to the number of theoretical cross-sectional areas of casing such that 64-81% of free flow cross-section of the casing is blocked.
