[origin: EP2575155A1] The equipment has a vacuum circuit breaker (3) and a vacuum bulb (5) occupying open and closed positions of the equipment. The breaker has a contact (6) and another contact initially opened to create arc and an arc voltage to allow the current to be derived in the breaker/bulb. The opening of the contacts continues until an insulation distance between the contacts is obtained and before opening of contacts (8, 9) of the bulb so as to avoid dielectric flashover on the bulb during establishment of re-establishment transitory voltage after closing the contacts.
