Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011151217A1] The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner comprising a dirt collection container (10) that has a suction inlet (12) and that is in fluid connection with a suction assembly via at least one filter (16) and a suction line (18), said vacuum cleaner also comprising a purge air feed device (24) for feeding purge air into the suction line downstream of the filter. Said purge air feed device has at least one purge air opening (34) and a sleeve-shaped closing element (48) which, in a closing position, blocks the inflow of purge air into the suction line via the at least one purge air opening, and which can be moved, manually and in a movement direction, into a release position which unblocks the inflow of purge air into the suction line via the at least one purge air opening. In order to develop the vacuum cleaner further so as to be able to avoid a sudden increase in the manual actuation force needed to move the closing element into its release position, said element is open on both of its end faces (56, 64), and when in the closing position said element, with at least two sealing elements (60, 58, 52) that interact with each other and that can be moved relative to one another in a movement direction, blocks the inflow of purge air into the suction line.
