Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011147892A1] The present invention relates to the use of surface-modified effect pigments in a solvent-free coating agent, the surface-modified effect pigments having a platelet-shaped substrate and at least one dielectric layer, wherein at least one optional protection layer can be disposed on the at least one dielectric layer, and the effect pigments are surface-modified by means of at least one compound containing epoxide groups, under the proviso that the at least one compound containing epoxide groups contains no silicon atoms. The invention also relates to a powder coating material which comprises said surface-modified effect pigments, and to an object coated with a powder coating material comprising said surface-modified effect pigments.
