Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2578731A2] The method involves determining the parameter while stretching the sliver (2) continuously or at intervals. The parameter depends on the thickness of the band of the sliver. The amount of parameters determined after an idle state of the textile machine are corrected by a reference value depending on the deviation of the parameters determined after the idle state, where the reference value is defined before the idle state. The reference value corresponds the last value of the parameter or the mean value of a defined number of amounts of the parameter. An independent claim is included for a textile machine with a device for stretching a sliver.
