Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2578737A1] The present invention relates to a method for washing laundry in a laundry washing machine, the laundry washing machine comprising a washing tub external to a washing drum suited to receive the laundry and comprising a heating device, wherein the method comprises a wetting and heating phase for wetting the laundry by means of a laundry washing liquid heated at a predetermined washing temperature. The wetting and heating phase comprises the steps of: a) providing a first quantity of cold liquid at the bottom of the washing tub up to a first level which is below, or equal to, the level of the lower part of the washing drum; b) heating the liquid at the bottom of the washing tub by means of the heating device up to a first temperature which is higher than the predetermined washing temperature; c) providing a second quantity of cold liquid into the washing tub and mixing it with the heated liquid at the first temperature in order to obtain the laundry washing liquid at the predetermined washing temperature.
