[origin: EP2578929A2] The overhead elements (34) of projection lens (26) are arranged to direct light to a temperature above the cut-off limit overhead area of light distribution of the projection headlight (10). The sub-areas of the interface are defined, and the overhead elements are arranged in the defined sub-areas, such that overhead lighting is simulated resulting from the simulated overhead elements. By the simulation of the defined overhead elements, the number and/or shape of the overhead elements is changed iteratively so that the simulated overhead lighting satisfies predetermined conditions. An independent claim is included for an automotive projection headlight.
