[origin: WO2011154507A1] The present invention relates to a method for producing a cable comprising a conductor and an insulation surrounding said conductor, in which method a) the conductor is placed between layers of an insulating material, b) excess to the sides of the conductor is cut off, and c) the layers of the insulating material are materially bonded to one another. The present invention also relates to a cable comprising a conductor which is placed between layers of an insulating material, laterally protruding insulating material being cut off and the layers of the insulating material being materially bonded to one another, so that the conductor is surrounded by an insulation.
