[origin: WO2011160750A1] The invention relates to a projectile (1), comprising a casing base (2) and an explosive body (3). In order to still be able to change the maximum achievable acceleration - and thus also the maximum achievable distance - of the explosive body (3) immediately before the projectile (1) is fired, at least two chambers (4-6) separated from each other are arranged in the casing base (2). A propellant charge (10-12) that can be ignited by means of an electrical igniter (7-9) is located in each of the chambers. The igniters (7-9) are electrically connected to a control device (16), which is located in the casing base (2) and which can be operated by a shooting device in such a way that alternatively only one or a plurality of igniters (7-9) are activated.
