[origin: EP2586914A1] The compactor (10) has a compactor roller (20), and a stripping device (28) attached to the roller. The stripping device has a stripper staying in contact with the roller in an operating pivot position. The stripper is pivotably supported at a supporting arrangement, and an operating lever is provided for pivotably operating the stripper. A locking arrangement locks the stripper in outer contact with the roller in an outer operating pivoting position. The operating lever is designed as a foot pedal or a handle, and the locking arrangement has a locking unit and a counter locking unit.
