Abstract (en)

Disclosed is a waste treatment technique characterized in that it comprises: blowing a fluidizing gas from around a mixture discharge port (29) to form a first fluidization region (15) having a degree of fluidization of the fluidizable particles which is set to an extent allowing waste (18) to be accumulated on fluidizable particles (12), while blowing a fluidizing gas between the first fluidization region (15) and an opposite-side wall (25) at a higher flow velocity to form a second fluid region (16) having a degree of fluidization of fluidizable particles (12) greater than that in the first fluidization region (15), whereby the fluidizable particles (12) are mixed with the waste(18) to gasify the waste (18); and supplying waste (18) from a supply-side sidewall portion (24) onto the fluidized bed (14) to cause the waste (18) to be accumulated on the first fluidization region (15) while causing the accumulated waste (18) to be moved into the second fluidization region (16) step-by-step.
