[origin: EP2589362A1] The bed (10) has a mattress support device comprising a base-side part connected with a head end-side part by connectors e.g. joints. The connectors comprising a set of connector parts attached at the base-side part of the mattress support device. Another set of connector parts (68,70) is attached at the head end-side part of the mattress support device. The connector parts of the connectors are separated and linked by displacing along a connector axle, which is arranged at one of the connector parts and held or guided at the other connector parts.
