The device (12) has a control unit (14) defining a set of pulse parameters as a function of a fluctuation of a sensor value of sensing units (40-46), where the sensing units determine temperature of a heating medium or a dish. The control unit is provided in a mode of operation to define the pulse parameters as a function of a curve. The control unit switches the mode of operation between a pulsed operation and a continuous operation as a function of an operator input. Four induction heating units (30-36) are arranged below a cook field plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an induction heating device.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Induktionsheizvorrichtung, insbesondere einer Induktionskochfeldvorrichtung, mit zumindest einer Heizfrequenzeinheit (20, 22, 24, 26), zumindest einer Induktionsheizeinheit (30, 32, 34, 36), die dazu vorgesehen ist, von der Heizfrequenzeinheit (20, 22, 24, 26) betrieben zu werden, und zumindest einer Steuereinheit (14), die dazu vorgesehen ist, die Heizfrequenzeinheit (20, 22, 24, 26) in zumindest einem Betriebsmodus gepulst zu betreiben, und mit zumindest einer Sensoreinheit (40, 42, 44, 46). Um eine verbessertes Temperaturverhalten zu erreichen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Steuereinheit (14) dazu vorgesehen ist, Pulsparameter zumindest in Abhängigkeit von zumindest einem Sensorwert (T) der Sensoreinheit (40, 42, 44, 46) festzulegen.
