[origin: WO2012004162A1] The invention relates to a boot (10), especially a ski or snowboard boot, consisting of a shell (20) which encloses a foot and at least part of the lower leg of a user, and a shell tongue (2) attached to the shell (20) as well as a sock-type lining (1) having a tongue (30), the sock-type lining (1) being accommodated in the shell (20) and extending over 20% to 80% of a height of the shell (20), preferably up to approximately half the height of the shell (20), while the tongue (30) extends over 80% to 130% of the height of the shell (20), preferably up to approximately 110% of the total height of the shell (20).
