[origin: WO2012004061A1] The invention relates to a single-pivot type suspension strut axle for a passenger car, comprising a wheel carrier or pivot bearing which supports the wheel and a brake disk that is connected to said wheel in a rotationally fixed manner with respect to the rotational axis of the wheel. The suspension strut is fixed to said wheel carrier or pivot bearing, the other end of the suspension strut being supported on the vehicle body, and the wheel carrier or pivot bearing is further guided by a lower transverse link, which functionally constitutes an A-arm, via a support joint that lies near the wheel center plane and furthermore by a connecting rod. The transverse link protrudes through the brake disk, which is designed as a ring, with the transverse link section that is connected to the support joint. A leaf spring element which is at least partly oriented in the transverse vehicle direction is provided as a support spring for proportionately supporting the vehicle body on the wheel, said leaf spring element being supported on the transverse link and on the vehicle body directly or indirectly with the interconnection of an axle support.
