[origin: WO2012004489A1] The present invention relates to a method for selectively extracting monoglycerides present in a blend of fatty acid alkyl esters (FAAEs), which includes at least one liquid-liquid extraction step using a polar solvent (PS), comprising a light alcohol, and optionally an apolar solvent (AS), comprising a solvent immiscible with the light alcohol. The present invention relates in particular to a blend of fatty acid alkyl esters (FAAEs) of plant or animal origin, especially one used in biodiesel, which can be obtained according to the method of the invention, so that its monoglyceride content is less than 0.6%.
