Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2012003870A1] For a garden pump that is automatically switched off by means of a flow sensor that detects a minimum flow rate, a delay time between the time at which the flow rate falls below the minimum flow rate and the time at which the drive motor is switched off is set to at least 1.5 minutes, and after the drive motor has been switched off due to the flow rate falling below the minimum flow rate, the drive motor can be switched back on regardless of pressure by means of a control element to be operated by the user. Thus, the control device is made considerably simpler and cheaper compared to known embodiments that automatically switch back on when the pressure falls below a lower pressure threshold, and the loading of the electrical part of the pump is reduced and the service life of said electrical part is increased.
