[origin: WO2012004389A1] The invention relates to a monitoring assembly for monitoring at least one device, comprising at least one thermogenerator (21); and detection means (22) for detecting the duration of operation of a device (1), wherein the thermogenerator (21) is to be arranged in relation to the device (1) such that, in response to the heat generated when the device is activated, said thermogenerator generates an electric signal which indicates activation of the device, and the detection means (22) are designed to detect the electric signal generated by the thermogenerator (21) and to determine a duration of operation of the device (1) on the basis of the detected electric signal. The detection means (22) comprise a transmitter unit, which detects an electric signal that indicates the activation of the device, and after detection of the electric signal said transmitter unit transmits radio signals at intervals to a receiver unit of the detection means, and a counter of the detection means counts the received radio signals and determines the duration of operation of the device on the basis of the number of radio signals. The invention further relates to a monitoring device comprising detection means which are designed to detect a voltage supplied by a capacitive element and to determine a duration of operation of the device on the basis of the detected voltage, and to a monitoring device having means for detecting a vibration of the device, wherein the means are operated by the electric power of the thermogenerator.
