The operation unit (10) has control elements (20A) that adjusts size of light field formed by light at predetermined location. An electronic interface outputs control signals for size of light field to a control device of the lamp, and screen (12) displays the currently selected size of light field. The size of the light field is adjusted by control element to change the shape of corresponding light beam (28) in the form of light cone in the representation (22) on the screen during the operation of lamp.

Eine Bedieneinheit für eine medizinische Leuchte umfasst ein Bedienelement zum Einstellen der Größe eines durch die Leuchte erzeugten Lichtfelds, einen Bildschirm zum Anzeigen der aktuell eingestellten Größe des Lichtfelds und eine elektronische Schnittstelle zum Ausgeben von Steuersignalen für die Größe des Lichtfelds an eine Steuereinrichtung der Leuchte. Die Bedieneinheit ist dazu ausgebildet, während des Betriebs der Leuchte eine Darstellung zumindest eines Leuchtenkörpers der Leuchte einschließlich eines von dem Leuchtenkörper ausgehenden Lichtkegels auf dem Bildschirm wiederzugeben und bei einem Verstellen der Größe des Lichtfelds mittels des Bedienelements die Form des Lichtkegels in der Darstellung entsprechend zu verändern.
