[origin: EP2594181A1] The domestic appliance has cover plate (8) that is arranged on upper edge (7) of housing (6). The cover plate has an edge protector formed as separate component in frame. A seal that splashes against the ingress is formed by frame with respect to bearing region in housing edge in covering state of housing. The seal is provided with over-curvature on shell edge portion. The bar-shaped or strip-shaped formations are formed at bottom of frame in mounted state.
