Abstract (en)
An estimated trajectory of the ballistic missile is determined, and an interceptor missile (2) is made to fly in the estimated trajectory, such that the ballistic missile is destroyed in flight through the explosive charge (22). The interceptor missile flies in the flight direction of ballistic missile, in front of the ballistic missile, before the ignition of explosive charge. The ignition of explosive charge is completed, in response to an overtaking of the ballistic missile on the interceptor missile. An independent claim is included for a missile trapping system.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Verfahren zum Abwehren einer anfliegenden ballistischen Rakete (28), bei dem eine voraussichtliche Flugbahn (36) der ballistischen Rakete (28) ermittelt, eine Abfangrakete (2) gestartet wird, diese zur voraussichtlichen Flugbahn (36) fliegt und mittels ihrer Wirkladung (22) die ballistische Rakete (28) im Flug zerstört. Die Abwehr der ballistischen Rakete (28) kann mit einfachen Mitteln erfolgen, wenn die Abfangrakete (2) vor der Zündung der Wirkladung (22) in Flugrichtung der ballistischen Rakete (28) vor dieser her fliegt.
