Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012022403A1] A dredger (8) for working on a surface on the sea floor (2) in the offshore region comprises a supporting mechanism with feet for supporting on the sea floor (2) and a pivoting mechanism arranged on the supporting mechanism. The pivoting mechanism is rotatable about a vertical axis (A). In order to produce a precise level surface in a simple manner, the dredger (8) is configured in such a manner that the pivoting mechanism is designed as a pivoting boom (14) and at least one soil conveyor (20) is installed on the pivoting boom (14), the conveying direction of which soil conveyor is linear and which carries away material from the sea floor, wherein the material is conveyed horizontally in a radial direction along the pivoting boom (14).
