Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012010477A1] The invention relates to a method for dimming luminous elements operated by means of an operating device, in particular a converter for at least one LED and/or OLED. The method comprises the following steps: phase control of a power supply of the operating device, feeding the power supply having phase control to an energy store, in particular a passive valley fill circuit, i.e. a passive power factor correcting circuit, of the operating device, evaluating the output voltage of the energy store, in particular the variance of the output voltage of the energy store caused by the phase control, in order to independently set the parameters determining the lighting power of the luminous element for operating an operating circuit preferably connected downstream thereof, and conducting the output voltage of the energy store to the power supply of the luminous element, preferably by means of the operating circuit.
