Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2596878A2] The tool has a driving mechanism (10) including a driving body (16) that is connected to a driving head (13). A punching tool magazine (11) is connected to the driving mechanism and comprises multiple punching tools (50) guided in a guide body (27), where the punching tools have an effective punching length for punching a workpiece to be machined. The driving body co-acts with one of the punching tools to drive the corresponding punching tool during punching use. A mechanical punching length testing mechanism tests the effective punching length of the punching tools.
