Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2597199A1] The boom (1) has a drive for pivoting a barrier boom between blocking and open positions. The barrier boom has a first section (2) connected to drive and a second section (3) connected to first section via articulated joint (4). A steel cord (5) is tightened and clamped around two guide rollers (6,8). A roller is arranged coaxially with respect to pivot axis of first section and is connected to a non-rotating shaft connected to barrier column in rotation-proof manner. The other roller forms a joint axis of articulated joint and is connected to second section in rotation-proof manner.
