[origin: EP2599736A1] Cushioning material 4 is interposed between an article to be packaged 2 and a packaging box 3 that houses the article to be packaged 2. The cushioning material 4 is equipped with a first support piece 8 and a second support piece 10. The first support piece 8 supports one face of the article to be packaged 2. The second support piece is equipped on an inner face with a projection 52, folded to the first support piece 8, and supports another face that is adjacent to one face of the article to be packaged 2. The projection 52 of the second support piece 10 is fixed with one face of the article to be packaged 2 so the folded posture of the second support piece 10 is maintained with the first support piece 8.
