The device (7) has an operating element (9) removably positioned on a housing (8) for setting the operating conditions of cooking hob (1), by relatively moving the operating element with respect to the housing. In the first relative position (10) of operating element, selection of first cooking zone (3) is carried out and in the different second relative position (11), selection of second cooking zone (5) is carried out. A third relative position (12) of operating element is formed by the difference of other two relative positions, such that the common cooking zones are selected. An independent claim is included for a method of operating a cooking hob.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Bedienvorrichtung (7) für ein Kochfeld (1), mit einem Bedienelement (9), welches auf einer Bedienelementaufnahme (8) der Bedienvorrichtung (7) abnehmbar positionierbar ist und zur Einstellung von Betriebsbedingungen des Kochfelds (1) im in der Bedienelementaufnahme (8) positionierten Zustand relativ zur Bedienelementaufnahme (8) bewegbar ist und durch das Bewegen Relativpositionen (10 bis 12) einstellbar sind, wobei eine erste Relativposition (10, 11) des Bedienelements (9) mit einer Auswahl einer ersten Kochzone (3 bis 6) des Kochfelds (1) und eine zur ersten unterschiedliche zweite Relativposition (10, 11) mit einer Auswahl einer zweiten Kochzone (3 bis 6) verknüpft sind, wobei eine von der ersten (10, 11) und zweiten (10, 11) unterschiedliche dritte Relativposition (12) des Bedienelements (9) ausgebildet ist, in welcher die erste (3 bis 6) und die zweite Kochzone (3 bis 6) gemeinsam auswählbar sind. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Kochfeld (1) und ein Verfahern zum Betreiben eines Kochfelds (1).
