[origin: WO2012017044A2] The invention relates to a plate-shaped heat exchanger for a cooling device comprising at least one heat exchanger package, in particular for a motor vehicle, consisting of a plurality of openings (7) for accommodating a pipe conducting a coolant, wherein each opening (7) is surrounded by an passage (4) and a plurality of projections (10, 11, 15, 16) are distributed between the passages (4) for the heat exchange with the medium to be cooled. In order to allow a high performance increase of a cooling device, yet a low increase in pressure loss of the charge air, a plurality of projections (10, 11, 15, 16) are arranged around an passage (4), wherein the projections (10, 11, 15, 16) have a shape that assures deliberate heat conduction from the projections (10, 11, 15, 16) to the passage (4).
