Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2602199A1] The device (1) has spreading units (6) comprising spreading segments that are moved from an inner position for retaining elastic label cases (2) to an outer position for spreading the cases for labeling containers (3) with the cases. A control device (9) loads the segments with different spreading movements simultaneously or in a temporally overlapped manner. The segments are supported around a central recess, and the control device has cam disks that are arranged at the spreading units. Individually controllable adjusting drives i.e. electric motors, are provided for the segments. An independent claim is also included for a method for labeling containers with elastic label cases.
