[origin: EP2602567A1] The electric heater (100) has a positive thermal coefficient (PTC)-heating element (110), particularly which has a casing made of ceramic-material, where a rib (130) is provided for removal of heat of the PTC-heating element. A contact layer (120) is arranged thermally or electrically coupled between the PTC heating element and the rib. A separator-element (160) is provided with an electrically insulating material on a surface of the separator-element, where the separator- element partially covers an additional surface of the PTC-heating element and the additional surface of the contact layer.
