[origin: WO2012020187A1] The invention relates to a device for controlling the movement of at least one movable member of a disconnecting switch (2) for opening or closing the disconnecting switch (2), said member being set into motion by a transmission system driven by an electric motor (5) powered by a power supply circuit (6) driven by a control unit (7) on the basis of a switching order. The control device includes at least: measuring an instantaneous angular position (T) of the member relative to a reference angular position corresponding to the opening or closing of the disconnecting switch (2); measuring the instantaneous electrical power (P) supplied to the motor (5) for moving said movable member to said instantaneous angular position (T); comparing said measured instantaneous power (P) with a corresponding reference electrical power (Pref(0)) on the basis of said measured instantaneous angular position (T); and generating a failure-indicating signal when said measured instantaneous power (P) differs from said reference power (Pref())) by a predetermined value.
