[origin: EP2604146A1] The shelf (1) has two side walls (2.1, 2.2) as supporting elements, and a tray (19) with tabs (14.1-14.4), which are plugged in openings (6.1a, 6.2a) of the side walls during manufacture of the shelf. The openings are formed in a region of an open front side. Width of the openings is less than 70 percent of width of the side walls, where the shelf is made of a cardboard, paperboard and/or corrugated board. An aperture is formed in a middle part of a rear wall for fastening the tray in the middle part. The tray is fastened horizontally around an axis lying perpendicular to the side walls. An independent claim is also included for a shelf manufacturing method.
