[origin: EP2604559A1] The folder (110) has a leading-edge stop, a folding blade (111) and a pair of folding rollers (112). A set of arcuate elements (1) is transported by a transport unit in a transport direction (T) under the folding blade and against the leading-edge stop. A groove device (10) with a notch element or a circular knife is provided for introducing a notch into a front edge of the set of arcuate elements, where the groove device is arranged in a region of the leading-edge stop. The notch element is formed as a circular knife. An independent claim is also included for a method for preparation of arcuate elements.
