[origin: WO2012022402A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a security paper for producing security documents, such as bank notes, identification cards, or the like, comprising a strip-shaped security element that is embedded into the security paper and guided onto one of the surfaces of the security paper on at least one opening in the security paper. A circular screen of a cylinder paper machine creates a paper pulp in the form of a fiber/water suspension from a vat. The invention further relates to a circular screen of a cylinder paper machine for producing a corresponding security paper. According to the invention, at least one first elevation is applied on the circular screen per project, said first elevation being formed by a closed frame that surrounds at least one recess. At least one further elevation is applied on the circular screen, the strip-shaped security element being guided in a lateral direction as a result of said further elevation so that the strip-shaped security element is guided on the circular screen in such a manner that the strip-shaped security element comes to rest on the first elevation. The first elevation does not protrude or only slightly protrudes on both longitudinal sides so that no fiber/water suspension can be stored in the interior of the first elevation.
