Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012022884A1] The invention relates to a technique for switching an optical data stream via an optical network node, capable of switching optical data received at input ports to output ports. The technique includes a collision management step which, upon detection (900), by a given input port, of a stream at a given wavelength, includes the following steps, the stream to be processed by a processing chain: determining (910) a resource of the node on the basis of a predetermined routing policy such that, for the given wavelength common to source and destination nodes of the stream, routing within the network is carried out according to a routing tree covering the network, a root of said tree being the destination node; consulting an occupancy table for said resource, indicating if at least one possible preceding stream is using said resource; determining (920) a delay to be applied by the processing chain in order to prevent a collision between the stream and possible preceding stream(s); and configuring (930) the line to the delay of the processing chain such that the line applies the delay.
