Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2607550A1] Base substrate for a film composite banknote (10) present in the form of a rectangular sheet having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, comprises at least one strip-shaped row of holes (42), which extends along the longitudinal or the transverse direction, and exhibits a substrate thinning comprising a hole that passes through the base substrate, at a first partial region, and a substrate thickening at a second partial region. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a valuable document, preferably the composite film banknote, comprising the above base substrate; (2) producing the base substrate in the form of the rectangular sheet, comprising generating a substrate thinning in the first partial region of the row of the holes, producing a hole that passes through the base substrate, in the substrate thinning, and generating a substrate thickening in the second partial region of the row of the holes; (3) producing the valuable document, comprising laminating the base substrate with at least one film, wrapping the laminated base substrate on a roll for adhesive curing of the lamination, and producing the valuable document from the cured laminated base substrate; and (4) a dewatering screen for producing the base substrate, comprising at least one strip-shaped row of holes extending along a longitudinal or a transverse direction of the dewatering screen, including projections in a first partial region for producing the substrate thinning in the base substrate, and recesses in a second partial region for producing substrate thickening in base substrate.
