Abstract (en)
The device i.e. headlight (1), has a case (2) in which a light source (L1) with LEDs (3, 4) is placed. The case comprises a peripheral wall (8) interdependent of a bottom wall (7). The case is opened on a frontal face (9) opposed to the bottom wall. The frontal face of the case is closed by a glass (10) that is fixed in a non-dismountable permanent manner with the case by bonding. The peripheral wall of the case comprises a sectile line (S1) adapted to be cut out to provide access inside a rear part (2b) of the case for replacement of a faulty component. An independent claim is also included for a method for repairing a lighting and signaling device.

Dispositif d'éclairage ou de signalisation pour véhicule automobile, comportant un boîtier (2) dans lequel est disposée au moins une source lumineuse (L1, L2), le boîtier comportant une paroi périphérique (8) solidaire d'une paroi de fond (7), et étant ouvert sur une face frontale (9) opposée à la paroi de fond, cette face frontale du boîtier étant fermée par une glace (10), fixée de manière permanente non démontable, en particulier par collage, au boîtier ; ladite paroi périphérique (8) du boîtier comporte au moins une ligne sécable (S1, S2), s'étendant sur toute sa périphérie, propre à être découpée pour libérer la partie (2a) du boîtier munie de la glace et permettre l'accès à l'intérieur de l'autre partie (2b) du boîtier comportant au moins une source lumineuse, pour le remplacement d'un élément défaillant.
