[origin: WO2012025329A1] The invention relates to a hand-held machine tool, comprising a drive unit (10), a gearbox unit (12), which comprises at least one input shaft (14) and at least one output shaft (16) operatively connected to the input shaft (14), and a tool holder (18), which can be driven via the output shaft (16) of the gearbox unit (12) in an oscillating manner about an axis of rotational symmetry (84) of the output shaft. A vibration compensating unit (20) is proposed, which comprises at least one compensating mass (22) which, in order to compensate for a vibration, is driven in at least one operationg state against a direction of movement (24) of the tool holder (18).
