Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012025206A2] The invention relates to a security element (12) for security papers, value documents, and other data media, comprising an ink layer (20) that contains magnetically oriented magnetic pigments (44) forming a first motif (22) in the form of patterns, characters or a code, said motif (22) creating a dynamic motion effect when tilting the security element. According to the invention, the first, dynamic motif (22) is combined with a second motif in the form of an embossed structure having raised embossed elements which have differently oriented flanks such that the magnetic pigments arranged on differently oriented flanks reflect incident light in different ways and the second motif creates a flip effect when tilting the security element.
