[origin: WO2012025581A1] The invention relates to a spray gun for expelling a fluid, comprising at least one cylinder (1) in which a piston (2) is movably mounted. A fluid chamber (3) is formed in the cylinder (1), the volume of said chamber being changeable by a movement of the piston (2) and at least one first cylinder opening (5) being formed in said chamber. The spray gun also comprises a spray opening which is connected to the first cylinder opening (5) of the cylinder (1) via a connecting line (20) so that a fluid which is held in the fluid chamber (3) and which is pushed through the first cylinder opening (5) by the pressure exerted by the piston (2) reaches the spray opening via the connecting line (20) and is expelled at said spray opening. The spray gun according to the invention is characterized in that a fluid valve (21) lies in the connecting line (20), and the cylinder (1) is equipped with a sensor (29) with which a defined position of the piston (2) can be detected, fluid still being located in the fluid chamber (3) during the expelling process in said position, and with which the fluid valve (21) can be actuated. The fluid valve (21) is closed by means of the sensor (29) if the defined position of the piston (2) has been detected. The invention further relates to the use of such a spray gun for expelling pesticides.
