Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2610204A2] The method involves receiving two position values (203) of a lift car from a position of a sensor. A speed value is determined (204) from the received position values of the lift car. The determined speed value is compared (205) to a speed threshold to detect an overspeed. A blocking signal is transmitted (209) in case of detection of overspeed to active a blocking device i.e. parachute. The blocking signal is emitted towards an electromechanical conversion unit that acts directly or controls the blocking device in a direct manner. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for controlling movement of a lift car (2) a lift car movement monitoring system.
