Abstract (en)
The invention concerns a process for the preparation of detergents comprising separating by distillation a Fischer-Tropsch product into a light fraction (A), a first intermediate fraction (B i ) comprising at least 80 wt% C 10 to C 14 hydrocarbons, a second intermediate fraction (B ii ) comprising at least 80 wt% C 14 to C 18 hydrocarbons, and a heavy fraction (C). The fractions (B i ) and (B ii ) are hydrogenated. The hydrogenated first intermediate fraction is distilled into a fraction (B i1 ) comprising at least 80 wt% C 10 to C 13 hydrocarbons and a fraction (B i2 ) comprising at least 80 wt% C 14 hydrocarbons. The hydrogenated second intermediate fraction is distilled into a fraction (B ii1 ) comprising at least 80 wt% C 14 to C 17 hydrocarbons and a fraction (B ii2 ) comprising at least 80 wt% C 18 hydrocarbons. The C 10 to C 13 hydrocarbons and/or the C 14 to C 17 hydrocarbons are converted into detergents.
