[origin: EP2423238A1] Producing nitrile rubber, comprises radically polymerizing at least one conjugated diene, at least one alpha , beta -unsaturated nitrile and optionally at least one further copolymerizable monomers in at least one organic solvent, using an initiator, in the absence of molecular weight regulators. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the nitrile rubber comprising repeating units derived from at least one conjugated diene, at least one alpha , beta -unsaturated nitrile and optionally at least one further copolymerizable monomer, where the nitrile rubber does not comprise structural elements in the form of end groups or structural units in the polymer chain, which are derived from molecular weight regulators during the polymerization of the nitrile monomers; (2) a vulcanizable mixture comprising the above nitrile rubber, at least one crosslinking agent, optionally at least one filler and optionally at least one further rubber additive; (3) producing vulcanizate, comprising crosslinking the above vulcanizable mixture, preferably by adding at least one crosslinking agent or by photochemical activation; and (4) vulcanizates, preferably molded parts obtainable by the above method.
