Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2612736A1] The operating method involves holding a cutting blade (2) in a blade holder (1), where the cutting blade has a cutting edge (3) extending over a cutting edge length (L). The cutting blade is guided through a material (4) to be cut during multiple cutting operations along a cutting rail, so that the cutting blade cuts the material to be cut with a sectional area (9) of its cutting edge. The sectional area has a sectional area length (l) which is only a fraction of the cutting edge length. The oscillation amplitude is smaller than the sectional area length. An independent claim is included for a control program for a control unit of a cutting machine.
